Server Rules

Read the manual before you start fixing wires. Break these rules and you'll be ejected into the vacuum of space.

The Clock

  • 24-Hour sprint. Hacking starts April 4, 2026.
  • Brainstorming and UI wireframing allowed beforehand.
  • ZERO pre-written code allowed. Editor must be empty at start.
  • Late uploads will be rejected. Don't be sus.

The Crew

  • 1 to 4 members per team. Solo is fine.
  • In-person only at VIIT. No remote proxies.
  • One team per person. No swapping after registration.
  • Mentors can guide you, but CANNOT write your code.

The Tasks

  • Project must align with a Hackathon Track.
  • Open-source libraries, frameworks, and APIs are encouraged.
  • AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) are allowed, but you MUST understand the code.
  • Plagiarism = Instant Eject for all involved.

Upload Data

  • Submit: 1) Working Demo, 2) Public GitHub, 3) Pitch Deck (Max 10 slides).
  • Function over form: A working ugly app beats a broken pretty UI.
  • Commit often. Bulk-uploading code at the end is suspicious.
  • No changing tracks or core ideas after submissions close.

Voting

  • Scored equally on: Innovation, Tech, Impact, and Presentation.
  • 5-min live demo + 3-min Q&A with the judges.
  • If your live demo crashes, have a video backup ready.
  • Judges' decisions are final. No arguing.

Server Rules

  • Be a good crewmate. Harassment gets you ejected without warning.
  • Follow VIIT campus rules. Keep noise down in sleeping areas.
  • Do NOT attack or scan the campus network (impostor behavior).
  • Organisers (Admins) have final say on all disputes.

The Vault

  • ₹22,000+ Total Prize Pool.
  • Must be present at the final demo to claim your prize.
